Jim Voelker
Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer
Jim Voelker became the chairman, president, and CEO of InfoSpace in December 2002. He had played an integral role since being named to the company's board of directors in July 2002.
Voelker has more than 20 years experience managing telecommunications and technology companies. As president and board director of NEXTLINK Communications, Inc., now XO Communications, Voelker was instrumental in developing the company vision and guiding overall operations from inception in 1994 through 1998.
Prior to NEXTLINK, Voelker served as CEO and board director of US Signal, where he directed the merger of various entities into a single unit that became the first full-service competitive local exchange carrier in the United States.
David Binder
Chief Financial Officer
David was appointed Chief Financial Officer in December 2007 after serving as Vice President, Finance for InfoSpace since 2004.
Prior to InfoSpace, Binder served as Senior Director, Business Development at drugstore.com. Prior to that, he served as Senior Director of Finance at AT&T Wireless.
David received his Masters degree in economics and finance from Brandeis University.
Bruce Allenbaugh
Chief Marketing Officer
Bruce joined InfoSpace as Chief Marketing Officer in December 2007. Allenbaugh brings more than two decades of global marketing, branding and advertising experience.
Prior to InfoSpace, Allenbaugh served as Senior Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Safeco Insurance, a Fortune 500 property and casualty insurance company. Prior to that, Bruce served as Vice President of Marketing for both Avenue A and Nextlink Communications, as well as ten years in various management positions at Pepsi Cola Company.
Bruce holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Washington, and a master’s degree in marketing and finance from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School, Northwestern University.
Eric Emans
Chief Accounting Officer
Eric was appointed Chief Accounting Officer in December 2007 after serving as Corporate Controller for InfoSpace since 2006.
Prior to InfoSpace, Eric served as director of operations at Corbis Mobile where he was responsible for all business operations. Previous to Corbis Mobile, Emans served in a variety of positions at InfoSpace, including senior manager of revenue assurance, and senior manager of finance.
Emans holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Western Washington University, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Washington.
Alejandro C. Torres
General Counsel and Secretary
Alejandro was appointed general counsel and secretary in December 2007 after serving as senior corporate counsel for InfoSpace since 2003.
Torres came to InfoSpace from Riddell Williams, P.S., a major law firm based in Seattle, where he served as principal since 2000.
Alex received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Washington, and his J.D. degree from Columbia Law School.
Sunil Thomas
Chief Technology Officer
Sunil was appointed CTO in December 2007, after serving InfoSpace as vice president of product engineering for InfoSpace.
Thomas has more than 15 years of experience in producing acclaimed software applications for the Internet. He came to InfoSpace from Zephyr Software where he served as Chief Technology Officer. Prior to Zephyr, Sunil served at Microsoft as an enterprise consultant and Hewlett Packard as a software engineer.
Sunil received a bachelor of engineering degree in computer science from Bombay University.
Stuart West
Chief Strategy Officer and Vice President of Corporate Development
Stuart joined InfoSpace as Chief Strategy Officer and VP of Corporate Development in October of 2008. He brings 17 years of experience in finance, business and Wall Street roles. He oversees corporate strategy and M&A activities and is responsible for expanding InfoSpace's business through acquisition, strategic commercial transactions, and entry into new markets. West reports directly to Jim Voelker, Chairman, President and CEO.
Prior to InfoSpace, West served as Vice President of Operations Finance at Yahoo! Inc., where he was part of the leadership team for Yahoo! Mail, Yahoo! Messenger, Flickr, Yahoo.com and My Yahoo! Previously, West served in several executive roles at publicly-traded TiVo Inc., most recently as acting Chief Financial Officer. He has also served in business development and other roles with Silicon Valley venture-backed startups. Mr. West began his business career at J.P. Morgan & Co. in its New York and San Francisco investment banking groups. His other experience includes the U.S. State Department and the White House.
Stuart's educational background includes a B.A. in History from Yale University, where he focused on 20th century diplomacy, and the Executive Program for Growing Companies at the Stanford Business School. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Wikimedia Foundation, the global educational non-profit behind Wikipedia.
